Job summary

1910 Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Aide Level I to maintain a clean, sanitary environment that supports quality patient care.

The role is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit and reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor, within hospital policies and procedures. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:30pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays; Location: 30 Locust Street, onsite; Pay range listed as $18.78–$25.66 hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of environmental services/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and high-quality customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Clean ceilings, surfaces, walls, furnishings, and floors to high cleanliness and disinfection standards.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock items daily.
• Mop and vacuum floors, collect and transport trash per regulations.
• Clean entrances and hang draperies, curtains, blinds, and shades.
• Move beds and set up rooms as requested.
• Prepare and set up meeting rooms; monitor department pager and respond promptly.
• Follow infection control and safety policies; maintain hospital standards.
• Attend meetings and meet competency/retraining requirements.
