Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an Environmental Services team member for the Day Shift to help keep patient areas and hospital spaces clean and sanitary.

You will work with basic cleaning equipment and disinfectants, restock supplies, and ensure safe, orderly environments. Experience in healthcare cleaning is preferred; must read/write English and life up to 50 lbs. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English.
• 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must safely move, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Must perform repetitive cleaning motions such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.

Responsibilities

• Receives cleaning assignments and transports supplies to work areas.
• Cleans areas with germicidal solutions and polishes sinks, fixtures, and equipment.
• Remakes beds with fresh linens and disposes of refuse per procedures.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and arranges furnishings after cleaning.
• Inspects area for cleanliness and returns supplies to storage.
• Moves furniture and equipment using handcarts or dollies.
