Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, is seeking an Environmental Service Worker to maintain a clean, infection-controlled environment across patient rooms, units, lounges and offices. The role serves newborn to adult patients and supports a collaborative care team.

Full-time, day shift with every other weekend, you’ll use appropriate cleaning chemicals and follow unit-specific procedures while upholding the facility’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Must have manual dexterity.
• Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring.

Responsibilities

• Clean client rooms, nursing units, lounges, lavatories, bathrooms, offices, and other areas as assigned.
• Use the correct cleaning chemicals for each surface to prevent damage.
• Handle patients' valuables or health system property with care during cleaning.
• Assist with patient care as needed.
• Understand and perform unit-specific cleaning procedures.
