Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, part of Trinity Health Of New England, invites you to join the Environmental Services team on the Day Shift. You will perform cleaning tasks to maintain sanitary hospital areas and operate cleaning equipment following established procedures.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, cleaning patient rooms and offices, disposing of waste, and returning equipment to storage.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English and speak clearly.
• Must be able to safely move, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with cleaning chemicals and products in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Receives cleaning assignments and transports materials to work areas.
• Cleans assigned areas with germicidal solutions; washes, disinfects, and polishes surfaces.
• Strips, cleans, and beds with fresh linens after patient dismissal; restocks supplies.
