Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking an Environmental Services/Housekeeping team member to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across hospital areas. You will work with staff and patients, assist with transport of patients and specimens, and help ensure compliance with cleaning and disinfection standards.

The role requires interaction with multiple departments, adherence to policies, and support for patient care activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean patients' rooms and nursing unit areas; support bed-making for unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed as needed.
• Deliver laboratory specimens and reports as required.
• Move equipment and supplies; report broken equipment or maintenance needs.
• Assist in training new staff and support nursing unit operations.
• Address patient non-clinical needs and ensure safe, orderly environment.
