Job summary

NorthBay Health in Fairfield, CA seeks an Environmental Services Aide to perform cleaning duties across patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, and public spaces. You’ll follow infection control policies, handle chemicals safely, and communicate issues to supervisors to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, peers, and colleagues.
• Able to follow complex instructions involving task lists and duties.
• Learn and retain department and facility training involving disaster response.
• Experience interacting with patients and staff in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily cleaning duties and assigned tasks within standard work.
• Communicates issues to Lead or Supervisor and maintains required documentation.
• Interacts with patients, visitors, staff and leadership with respectful communication.
• Maintains infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and universal precautions.
• Handles, labels, dilutes, uses, stores and disposes of chemicals per instructions.
• Manages soiled and clean linen per standard work.
