Job summary

North Shore Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services support professional to help keep patient areas clean, safe, and sanitary.

You'll assist with environmental service projects, follow schedules, and collaborate with teams to minimize disruption to patient care. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in environmental services, knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control, and safety protocols, with ability to lift and move items as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or preferred
• 1–2 years experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, infection control and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing environmental service projects (deep cleaning, renovations, equipment maintenance)
• Follow project schedules and assignments to meet timelines
• Collaborate with Environmental Services and other departments to coordinate activities with minimal disruption to patient care
• Perform routine cleaning: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting
• Adhere to cleaning protocols, infection control guidelines and safety procedures
• Use cleaning agents and equipment to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections
