Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to join our team. You will clean patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, and offices following infection-control standards to ensure a safe, sanitary environment for patients and staff.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and the physical ability to lift and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare environment preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Dust, mop, damp-wipe surfaces, and sanitize floors per infection-control standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (vacuum, mop, wringer, etc.).
• Report repairs and safety concerns and assist with spills as needed.
• Maintain and clean equipment; follow safety procedures at all times.
• Interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
