Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will clean patient rooms, lounges, bathrooms, and offices using approved cleaning tools while following infection-prevention standards.

Responsibilities include dusting, waste removal, floor sanitizing, and reporting repairs. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and professionalism in interactions with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in housekeeping/janitorial/healthcare environmental services preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices and common areas.
• Dust, wipe, and polish surfaces; wash/dry floors per infection-control standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment (mops, vacuums, wringers) safely.
• Assist with emergency spill cleanup as needed.
• Report repairs and facility maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures at all times.
