Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to support our clinical teams under supervision of EVS leadership. You will perform cleaning, infection control and safety tasks in accordance with hospital standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and the use of cleaning chemicals and UV disinfection equipment. Competitive hourly pay with per diem and shift differentials in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in industrial janitorial environment preferred.
• Experience with cleaning procedures and janitorial equipment in a healthcare setting strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned duties and cleaning tasks within standard times.
• Communicate issues to Lead or Supervisor and document accordingly.
• Interact with patients, visitors, staff with professional communication.
• Follow Infection Prevention policies including hand hygiene and universal precautions.
• Handle, dilute, store, and dispose of chemicals per manufacturer policies.
• Prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands.
• Safely operate equipment as trained.
• Attend meetings and training to stay compliant with policies.
• Support leadership to meet Joint Commission and safety standards.
