Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Energy Center Operator to operate, maintain, and repair boiler, HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems across large hospital campuses. The role emphasizes safe environments and exceptional Environment of Care, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Minimum requirements include 1–3 years of HVAC/refrigeration experience, EPA Universal Certification, and applicable boiler/refrigeration licensure as specified by Mercy locations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration experience.
• EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants.
• Valid driver’s license for Mercy locations.
• Licensure requirements as specified by Mercy locations (various Boiler Operator licenses).
• Must communicate clearly and follow technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair electrical, refrigeration, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Support a safe working environment and Environment of Care for Mercy.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Follow manuals and use software such as Outlook, TMS, Nuvolo.
• Prioritize work and manage time and materials efficiently.
