Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest public health care system in the United States, seeks a skilled electrician to install, repair and maintain electrical systems in our public health facilities. You will work on high- and low-tension circuits across hospital buildings, ensuring code compliance and reliable power for patient care.

Minimum qualifications include five years of full-time electrician experience; a New York driver’s license is required and a Special Electrician license may be needed.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of full-time electrician experience.
• License requirements: New York Driver's License; Special Electrician License may be required for appointment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, replaces and maintains electrical wiring systems and components in buildings per the NY City Electrical Code and job orders.
• Conduct tests on electrical wiring systems to determine faults and perform repairs.
• Maintains and tests backup generators regularly.
• Prepares sketches, drawings and layouts; keeps job records.
• May supervise assigned personnel and drive to job sites.
