Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams for installations.
• Experience with high- and low-voltage electrical systems in hospital environments.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and diagrams to estimate materials and time.
• Installs, tests, and repairs electrical fixtures and power distribution.
• Diagnoses and corrects trouble to keep vital electrical equipment operational.
• Assists with safety inspections and emergency generation equipment.
• Prepares purchase requisitions and plans maintenance programs.
• Must test high-tension on main switch gear and transfer services.
• Familiar with OSHA/Lock-out Tag-out procedures.
• Works 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
