Job summary

Mount Sinai West is seeking an Electrician who will respond to work orders and ensure safe, high-quality building conditions. The role includes overtime during emergencies and participation in emergency power testing to support patient and staff safety.

The candidate will diagnose and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance across hospital and school facilities. Strong safety practices and NYC code knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Three years experience in the trade under a licensed electrician or two years post-trade school.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; perform electrical repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of electrical repair and maintenance; troubleshoot and establish facts.
• Proficient in preventative maintenance and reading blueprints/schematics.
• Work safely, adhere to NYC electrical code, and operate ladders and lifts as needed.
• Provide coverage including overtime during emergencies and participate in emergency power testing.
• Work independently or with others in hospital and school settings.
