Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking an Electrician to respond to work orders and maintain safe, reliable electrical systems across hospital facilities. The role may require overtime during emergencies and involves participation in emergency power testing.

Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining electrical systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring compliance with the NYC electrical code. You will work across hospital and school sites, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Three years experience in the trade under a licensed electrician or two years after completing a trade school.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of electrical repair and maintenance; troubleshoot problems and collect data.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, diagrams, manuals and motor controls.
• Adhere to safety rules and NYC electrical code; use tools and equipment safely.
• Work independently or with others without supervision.
• Work across hospital and school sites with courtesy and professionalism.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/ lifts; handle High Voltage up to 13.2 KVA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
