Vitalant in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician to manage inventory of blood and blood products and to prepare and ship orders to local hospitals.
You will communicate with hospital customers, ensure order accuracy, and support on-call duties for ASAP/STAT requests. This role requires a High School diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 40 pounds. Training is provided.

You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. What to Expect Schedule: Mon- Fri 1:00pm - 6:00pm Part-Time Hours + On-Call Rotation 1 week per month
Starting Pay: $17.09 - $18.27 Based on Experience

As a Hospital Distribution Technician you'll get to Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy. During On-Call hours, you might get called to fulfill a STAT or ASAP order that a hospital needs for a patient, and then you would contact the courier to transport the blood to the hospital. Communicate with hospital customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability. Use a great attention-to-detail when processing orders, entering inventory as well as entering data for orders to be shipped and/or received. Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees. Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
Presently, this role does not drive - That could change in the near future and if needed to make a blood delivery you may need to drive to local hospitals.
