Job summary

Almond View Care Center in California is seeking a Dietitian to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Food Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role carries administrative authority and accountability to ensure quality nutritional services daily and a clean, safe, and sanitary operation.

The Dietitian will review policies annually, develop corrective plans for survey findings, and assist the QA Committee in action plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited program.
• Supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards for nutrition services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our facility’s Food Services Department, its programs and activities.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions. Make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal surveys and provide a written copy of such plan to the Administrator for his/her approval.
• Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing plans of action to correct any food service deficiencies.
• Ensure the Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
