Job summary

Sweetwater Care in California is seeking a Dietitian to plan, organize, develop and direct the Food Services Department in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, ensuring daily quality nutritional services and a clean, sanitary environment.

As Dietitian, you will lead the department's programs, review policies annually, prepare corrective action plans after surveys, assist QA in action plans, and perform regular sanitation and safety inspections of dietary service areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing food services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s Food Services Department, its programs and activities.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions at least annually and make recommendations.
• Review and develop a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during surveys and provide this to the Administrator for approval.
• Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
• Perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance.
