Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a full-time Courier based at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA. The role features a day-shift schedule with rotating-flexi shifts, including one weekend per month, and involves picking up and delivering deposits, medications, equipment, supplies and lab specimens.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. No experience required, though 1 year of courier experience can substitute for education.

• Valid driver's license is required.
• 1 year courier experience may substitute for high school education.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers deposits, medications, equipment, supplies, x-ray films, lab specimens, letters and packages.
• Operates vehicle safely and keeps it clean and well maintained.
• Maintains vehicle safety logs and requests maintenance when needed.
• Tracks lab specimens, reports, supplies and all barcoded items.
