Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Courier/Transport Specialist to support Lab Medicine and related services. You will drive NCH vehicles for routine courier routes and on-demand deliveries, maintaining cargo safety and documenting route details.

Responsibilities include scheduling, loading/unloading, weather preplanning, and customer service to ensure timely, quality patient care. Valid Ohio driver’s license and MV background screening are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle background inspection.
• Must meet driving qualifications and training set by Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Maintains schedule to complete routine and on-demand routes daily.

• Documents all route information and pick-ups per department guidelines.
• Evaluates and monitors weather conditions to preplan trips and delays.
• Maintains safety of cargo and vehicle per hospital guidelines.
• Assists in training of new staff and documents progress.
