Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Three years cooking experience or equivalent toward culinary degree.
• Experience with recipes and scratch cooking.
• Experience in institutional setting with allergy/diet awareness.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Create attractive daily menu items accommodating diets and allergies.
• Prepare food from recipes and adjust to volume requirements.
• Create patient and retail specials to provide appealing options.
• Accommodate patient/customer requests within nutrition guidelines.
• Coordinate flow of food preparation to meet nutrition plans and catering needs.
• Plan and prep for the next shift; adjust for census and events.
• Maintain a clean work area and complete sanitation tasks.
• Conduct and document daily HACCP checks.
• Input and assist with inventory to support menu planning.
