Sodexo is seeking a Cook for SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin. The role involves preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting hot and cold items for meals and events, in a fast-paced kitchen, following Sodexo standards for safety and quality.

The Cook I supports high-quality dishes, teamwork, and strict food safety. The position requires 0–2 years of related experience, basic kitchen equipment familiarity, and the ability to read recipes independently.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards to ensure high-quality food service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, cooking, and serving items.
• Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, and check production to plan requirements.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during shift.
