Sodexo is seeking a Cook at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center in Ohio.

You will prepare, portion, cook, and present hot and cold foods for meals and events, following Sodexo’s culinary standards in a fast-paced kitchen while upholding food safety and sanitation. The role is full-time and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of experience, ability to read recipes, and familiarity with kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food according to current standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for cooking a variety of foods.
• Taste products, estimate food requirements, check production and requisition supplies.
• Significant walking or mobility in work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Lift up to 35 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds occasionally.
