Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital is seeking a PDC Tradesman Supervisor to coordinate daily activities of the PDC Tradesmen, ensuring renovations and repairs meet safety and comfort standards for patients and staff. You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations, review time sheets and work orders, and collaborate with department management to meet deadlines and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant construction experience.
• Associate’s degree with 2 years in construction if applicable.
• High school diploma with 4 years in construction experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures documentation of services are completed accurately and in a timely manner through a review of time sheets, work orders, inventory sign-out sheets and dispatched calls.
• Organizes PDC Tradesmen to begin prompt corrective action on deficiencies found during inspections and ensures communication to the appropriate personnel affected.
• Assures all repairs are cost effective by evaluating options and total cost of repairs.
• Collaborates with department management toward facility compliance with NFPA 99, NFPA 101, OSHA and related standards.
• Provides feedback to the manager regarding team member performance and work status.
• Coordinates team member scheduling to assure proper manpower for scheduled work.
• Maintains safe and secure work environment and ensures adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Arranges supply deliveries to the construction site and inspects equipment and materials as needed.
