Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a Communications Resources Clerk to answer and route calls to departments, patients and physicians, and to support code responses and overhead paging. This role supports the On-Call Scheduling program and provides limited Audiovisual/Conference Center, in-house pager and Vocera assistance.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with switchboard systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience with switchboard or customer service in healthcare.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls to hospital departments, patients and physicians.
• Initiate responses to codes and alarms and perform overhead pages.
• Participate in On-Call Scheduling.
• Audiovisual/Conference Center, in-house pager and Vocera support duties.
