MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a part-time Business Support Specialist to provide 24/7 operation/monitoring of communications center equipment. You will greet patients, provide directions, route calls, and support paging and security communication across hospital sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in direct customer relations/communications center preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft O365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Edge) and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Receives and routes incoming telephone calls by operating the SPOK Console per established protocol.
• Performs page requests and initiates security calls by operating the hospital public address system, Motorola pagers, and security radio.
• Announces all emergency codes via public address system and notifies appropriate personnel for quick response.
• Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed.
