Job summary

Geisinger in Danville, PA is seeking a Receptionist/Call Center Clerk to handle inbound calls, screen and direct callers, and respond to emergencies. You will provide accurate information and support to patients and staff.

Evening shift from 2pm to 11:30pm with rotating weekends/holidays. High school diploma required and at least 1 year of related experience; healthcare environment preferred. We offer benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience.
• Experience with hospital paging/phone systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outgoing calls and provide information.
• Screen callers and direct to appropriate departments.
• Operate paging system to locate staff.
• Prepare morning wake-up and telephone awakening for physicians.
• Provide patient directions and maintain location logs.
• Keep internal directory information accurate.
