Based at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City and UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY, the per diem schedule varies by manager assignments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to paging requests for hospital personnel using overhead systems, pagers, and cellular phones.
• Manage and monitor emergency communication systems including codes and alarms.
• Test and verify hospital alarm and emergency systems for readiness.
• Contact on-call staff and clergy as requested by departments.
• Coordinate distribution and setup of new telephones and maintain pagers inventory.
• Serve as backup information desk during off-hours and assist patients, visitors, and staff.
• Relay information and coordinate responses as the base station for hospital security.
• Assist with release process of deceased individuals per policy.
