Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, FL, seeks a dedicated operator to manage the central switchboard, routing calls and communicating codes, alerts and drills. The role supports hospital personnel with information per policy and uses paging systems to contact code teams.

The position requires the ability to work calmly under pressure with strong customer service and reliability. Eligibility includes a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

1 year customer service experience or related field.
Must work well under stress and in a fast-paced environment.
Critical thinking and decisive judgment required, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Operates the organization's central switchboard to answer and route calls and communicate codes and alerts.
Relays codes, drills and announcements per policies and disaster plans.
Operates beeper and paging system to contact hospital personnel and code teams.
Receives and relays internal and external calls and provides information per policy.
Troubleshoots system issues and uses reference materials as needed.
