Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Communication Systems Operator to manage hospital communications. You will handle calls for physicians and staff, operate switchboard equipment, and coordinate emergency communications from the control room.

This role requires flexibility across Days/Evenings/Nights and Holidays, with at least a high school diploma and healthcare experience preferred. You will join a team dedicated to patient care and continuous improvement at our Indianapolis

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Page physicians and staff.
• Maintain documentation of all telecommunications processes.
• Provide general hospital and patient information, answering calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Put proper emergency plans into action.
• Attend related meetings and maintain mandated hospital training assignments.
• Assist in generating and understanding reports with other departments as needed.
• Answer and dispatch security calls.
• The alternating shift includes Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
