Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Certified Nursing Aide to provide routine daily nursing care to assigned patients, ensuring safety and well-being in accordance with MUSC Health standards. Reports to the unit nurse and participates in continuous education while supporting the care team.

Must complete a State-approved CNA program with SC Nurse Aide Certification; CPR required on hire and maintained; 1 year geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of a State-approved CNA program.
• Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation and must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care to assigned patients to assure safety and well-being.
• Report to unit nurse.
• Assist with baths, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Accurately document and chart patient care.
• Respond promptly to call lights and collaborate with care team.
