Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC Health) is seeking a Certified Nursing Aide to provide routine daily nursing care to assigned patients, ensuring safety and promoting well-being in accordance with MUSC Health standards.

The role requires CNA certification, state licensure, CPR certification, and generally involves working with the care team in a hospital setting. Candidates with geriatric nursing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of a State-approved CNA program.
• Must be currently registered/licensed in applicable State.
• Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required upon hire and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting patients.
• Assist with baths, showers, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Accurately document and chart patient care.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Maintain dependable attendance.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, reach as needed.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
