Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of management experience in hospital AR billing and follow-up.
• Strong knowledge of hospital registration, insurance billing, and overall AR management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, organize and multi-task and achieve results through others.
• Contract knowledge.
• Experience interfacing with departments on patient concerns and charging matters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all AR collections functions including billing, rejections, follow-up, disputes, and analysis.
• Data mine payer issues and identify trends to support revenue cycle initiatives.
• Engage with payers on inventory and aging; conduct regular AR resolution meetings.
• Stay current with contracts and state/federal AR regulations.
• Develop and implement ongoing staff training and monitor productivity and quality.
• Develop and oversee workflows and policies; set department goals.
• Manage staff: reporting structure, hiring, promotions, and performance reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
