Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin in Illinois seeks an Associate Chaplain to staff the Mission Services Department and provide spiritual care for patients, families and staff. Qualifications

• 1. Minimum of 1 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit.
• 2. Endorsement or Commissioning by their own Faith Tradition, and in good standing with their Governing Body and Authority. Ordination in their Faith Tradition
• 3. Minimum of one (1) year in ministry with demonstrated competence in pastoral care.
• 4. Previous pastoral care experience within healthcare preferred.
• 5. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 6. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Staff the Mission Services Department at assigned hospitals and provide spiritual care for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to requests for spiritual care in a timely manner and assess needs.
• Document rounds on patients and staff and perform service recovery when needed.
• Provide psychosocial support during hospital emergencies as required.
