Job summary

Blessing Health System in Quincy, IL seeks a Chaplain to provide ministry, spiritual guidance and support to patients, families, caregivers and staff. You will collaborate with the Spiritual Care Executive Committee, Chaplain, Spiritual Care Supervisor and the Director of Volunteer Services to guide and direct the Volunteer Spiritual Care Program.

The Chaplain offers spiritual care to those with no specific affiliation/preference or no pastor available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required and clinical pastoral education completed.
• Bereavement and crisis intervention training or experience.
• Denominational endorsement and ability to work with diverse faiths.
• Ordination or certification by national pastoral care bodies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interfaith spiritual care to patients, families and staff.
• Collaborate with Spiritual Care leadership and Volunteer Services.
• Support patients facing surgery, end-of-life, or trauma with counseling.
