Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Marina Hospital in California seeks a Manager of Central Plant Operations to lead boilers, chillers, HVAC, and building systems ensuring uninterrupted patient care across the hospital campus.

You will direct maintenance, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and strategic infrastructure upgrades, coordinating with Facilities leadership, Infection Prevention, Safety, and clinical teams to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of leadership experience overseeing technical or maintenance staff.
• Four (4) years of experience in central plant, facilities engineering, hospital facilities or plant operations.
• Two (2) years of experience in an acute care hospital or regulated healthcare environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and performance management for Stationary Engineers, BMS Coordinators, and staff.
• Manage operation, servicing, and improvement of the Central Plant, including boilers, HVAC, power, and medical gas distribution.
• Develop goals, metrics, and strategies to improve reliability, efficiency, energy use, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee budgets, labor, equipment, and contractor expenditures; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead maintenance programs and asset management planning to improve reliability.
• Make decisions during utility disruptions and emergencies to restore critical services.
