Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee planning, directing and supervising the hospital's physical plant, HVAC, electrical systems and grounds to keep operations safe and compliant.

You will coordinate with departments, assign work, schedule staff, monitor performance, maintain budget documentation, and drive CQI initiatives to improve reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training.
• 4 year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing and supervising Plant Maintenance activities to maintain facilities, HVAC, electrical systems and grounds.
• Report daily to Administrative Director, Facilities regarding conditions and work in progress.
• Monitor staff matters and oversee scheduling, training, promotion and discipline.
• Develop and apply quality standards; supervise maintenance staff in equipment and building systems.
• Administer and supervise the maintenance program to ensure uninterrupted operation of the physical plant.
• Coordinate with other departments; arrange materials, supplies and outside contractors as needed.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance work, alterations and checks of equipment and systems.
• Orient new employees and provide continuing education on repair and safety procedures.
• Maintain stock levels within budget; document costs and budgets for Administrative Director.
• Ensure compliance with energy management and safety regulations; coordinate fire and safety measures.
• Engage in performance improvement and information management activities.
