The role supports emergency response and facility projects while coordinating with staff and contractors.

You should have boiler/steam systems experience, a valid license, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Certified or licensed in a healthcare engineering trade (steam boiler, HVAC, etc).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, medical gas, and other systems.
• Respond quickly to emergency repair requests to restore hospital operations without compromising patient care.
• Inspect and test backup generators, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and life-safety equipment.
• Preventative maintenance during regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns.
• Assist with hospital renovations and coordinate work with contractors (mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, medical gas).
