Qualifications

Valid state driver’s license is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.
Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc).
Five years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, medical gas, and other systems.
Quickly respond to emergency repair requests to restore hospital operations without compromising patient care.
Regularly inspect and test critical hospital safety systems such as backup generators, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and life safety equipment.
Preventative maintenance during regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns.
Assist with hospital renovation and construction projects; coordinate work with contractors as needed.
