UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) to deliver nursing care to patients across age groups using the nursing process and evidence-based practice.

You will collaborate with the care team to plan, implement and evaluate care, administer medications, educate patients and families, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes professional development and leadership within the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; must start BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• KY RN licensure or compact license to practice in Kentucky is required.
• BLS certification required; PALS/ACLS may be required for specific units.
• Two years of hospital patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conducts systematic assessments of patient health status from admission to discharge across the care continuum.
• Independently administers medications and documents administration per regulations and policies.
• Plan and coordinate patient care using current evidence and safety goals with the care team.
• Develop individualized care plans and educate patients and families to promote outcomes.
• Collaborate with the care team and unlicensed personnel to ensure safe, effective care.
• Promote patient safety, discharge planning, and compliance with HIPAA and policy standards.
