UofL Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) to deliver nursing care across age groups using the nursing process and established standards. This role requires collaboration with the care team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The RN will administer medications, perform assessments, support discharge planning, and educate patients and families. Candidates should demonstrate professional practice, critical thinking, and evidence-based care in a busy hospital

Responsabilidades

• Conducts systematic assessments of patient health status from admission to discharge to ensure patient safety, collaborating with the healthcare team, patient and family; care addresses all aspects of the individual and family.
• Independently administers medications per licensure authority, assesses and reassesses the effects of these medications, and documents administration per policies and regulatory requirements; adheres to patient safety guidelines.
• In collaboration with patient and family, plans care using current scientific knowledge, theory, and care standards within the nursing interventions and outcomes framework; constructs individualized, age-specific plans for optimal outcomes.
• In collaboration with patient and family, identifies and prioritizes patient problems based on assessment data, safety considerations, goals and preferences.
• Implements nursing care interventions to meet patient and family centered needs; demonstrates clinical judgment to promote safety and goals.
• Evaluates care by reviewing patient/family responses to interventions; revises the care plan to promote desired outcomes and address variances.
• Serves as an advocate for the patient and family; prepares for discharge and supports education to promote satisfaction.
• Collaborates with unlicensed assistive personnel per regulatory requirements to ensure safe patient care delivery.
• Maintains professionalism and engages in ongoing competency development and evidence-based practice with the care team.
