Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program is required.
• All new-hire Associate Degree Registered Nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three years of hire (required).
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; PALS/ACLS may be required for specific units.
• Two years of hospital patient care experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic assessments of patient health status from admission to discharge.
• Administers medications per licensure and documents administration.
• Plans care with the patient and family using current knowledge and goals.
• Collaborates with the care team to ensure continuity and safety.
• Educates patients and families and serves as advocate for safe care.
