Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
• New-hire RNs must start BSN within 1 year and complete within 3 years.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS and ACLS may be required for some units.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive assessments from admission to discharge.
• Administers medications per licensure authority and documents promptly.
• Plans care with the multidisciplinary team for optimal outcomes.
• Educates patients and families and promotes safety and learning.
• Advocates for patient rights and discharge preparation.
• Collaborates with unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure safe care.
