NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. You will lead development and oversight of ABA services, collaborating with medical and clinical staff to deliver patient-centered behavioral interventions.

The role focuses on program development, training, data-driven assessment, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support our patients in acute psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• BCBA certification required; HWC and BLS during orientation.
• Minimum of two years’ BCBA experience, preferably in hospital or behavioral health.
• Experience developing and implementing ABA-based treatment programs.
• Ability to train clinical and non-clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for patients, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct functional assessments within 72 hours of patient admission and create individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Train and support hospital staff on the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate behavioral strategies into patient care.
• Identify target behaviors for data collection and analyze trends to adjust treatment approaches.
• Provide ongoing education and consultation to hospital staff regarding ABA, crisis prevention, and intervention strategies.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for behavioral services within the facility.
• Establish documentation protocols and ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
• Participate in hospital committees related to behavioral health, patient care, and quality improvement.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to optimize outcomes.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained in HIPAA-compliant manner.
