Job summary

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a part-time Hospital Admissions Representative for our Surgery & Pain areas to support Monday through Friday coverage from 2pm to 6pm/7pm. You will greet, register and pre-register patients, schedule appointments and perform insurance verifications.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, collecting copays and deductibles, tracking visits and authorizations, preparing admissions paperwork and admitting patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in customer service (preferred).
• Experience in medical front desk or patient intake is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills and basic data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing duties.
• Greeting and registering patients, pre-registration.
• Scheduling appointments and performing insurance verifications.
• Collecting and posting copays and deductibles.
• Tracking visits and authorizations.
• Preparing admissions paperwork.
