Job summary

Cadre Family Companies is seeking a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to build and manage a meaningful volunteer program for patients and families. You will recruit, engage, train, and support volunteers who provide companionship, respite, emotional support, and practical assistance throughout the end‑of‑life journey.

The role requires compassionate leadership, organization, and the ability to travel across the service area as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in volunteer management, community outreach, healthcare, hospice, nonprofit, or a related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of hospice philosophy, patient and family support, and the role of volunteers in end-of-life care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative strategies to recruit and retain volunteers from the local community.
• Establish relationships with schools, churches, civic organizations, businesses, community groups, and other organizations to identify potential volunteers.
• Promote volunteer opportunities through community outreach, events, volunteer fairs, and other engagement opportunities.
