Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Hospice Liaison/Hospice Sales Rep in the United States. The role focuses on educating providers and patients about home health and hospice services, while building strong referral networks.

The position requires at least 1 year in healthcare business development, reliable transportation, and a valid driver’s license. Travel of 50%+ within the territory is expected as referrals and admissions goals are pursued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role.
• Reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and liability insurance.
• Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educates health care professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key referral sources to generate leads.
• Coordinates patient admissions with the team and gathers required documentation.
• Conducts on-site visits to assess patient needs and barriers to care.
• Keeps accurate records of patient interactions and referrals in CRM.
• Attains admissions, product and payor-mix goals.
• Travel 50% or more within the assigned territory.
