Job summary

Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative team in Massachusetts. This full-time role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a competitive hourly salary of $38.00 to $47.97, with weekly pay and comprehensive training to help you excel.

The RN will manage the plan of care from referral through discharge, perform assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years of experience in health care.
• Experience in a hospice, or home health preferred.
• Experience in acute care in an institutional setting preferred.
• Understand hospice philosophy and issues of death/dying.

Responsibilities

• Manages the plan of care from referral through discharge for assigned hospice patients and families per regulations and agency standards.
• Completes initial nursing assessment of patient/family to determine hospice needs.
• Provides complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness(es).
• Initiates and implements plan of care with goals and interventions that promote comfort and dignity.
• Administers medications/treatments as prescribed and communicates responses promptly.
