Good Shepherd Community Care, a Boston-area hospice and palliative care provider, seeks a Weekend Nurse to join its On-Call team. You will travel to patients’ homes across Greater Boston and parts of MetroWest, delivering compassionate end-of-life care on a 40-hour schedule from Friday to Monday, 9 am–7 pm.

The ideal candidate is an organized RN or LPN licensed in Massachusetts, with 2 years of nursing and at least 1 year in hospice. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

Licensed RN or LPN in Massachusetts.
2 years nursing experience and at least 1 year hospice experience.
End-of-life care knowledge and compassion.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

Make home and hospital visits to titrate medications and manage symptoms.
Educate patients and families about terminal diseases and end-of-life processes.
Coordinate care planning with an interdisciplinary hospice team.
Triage and assess patients and communicate changes to the team.
