Job summary

Pioneer Valley Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our collaborative team in a full-time role. You will triage, coordinate, and administer hospice care, with comprehensive training provided. The position offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus, weekly pay, and strong health benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Massachusetts RN licensure is required.
• CPR Certification required.
• Hospice certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of hospice philosophy and communicates it clearly.
• Manages the plan of care from referral through discharge for assigned patients and families.
• Performs initial nursing assessment to determine hospice needs.
• Provides comprehensive physical assessment and medical history.
• Implements plan of care with patient/family to promote comfort and dignity.
• Administers medications and observes responses, reporting any adverse effects.
• Provides teaching on pain and symptom management with the interdisziplinary team.
• Coordinates patient care with team, family, and physician.
• Documents patient condition and outcomes; maintains accurate notes.

Education

Associate’s degree in nursing

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred)
